Without a tape measure there is no matching size: before you cut out a pattern you take your bust, waist and hip measurements with it and compare them against the size chart. Afterwards it stays within reach, when you work out ribbing lengths or check the circumference of a sleeve.
The black centimetre markings are easy to read on the red, white and green sections and so allow you to measure accurately. The yellow reverse gives you further flexibility, as it carries a scale in inches or centimetres. The 1,50 m long professional tape measure can be rolled up and held together with a practical snap fastener, so it takes up very little room in your sewing basket. Thanks to the sturdy plastic 0,5 mm thick and the metal ends, it is built to last.
