Reach for this swivel snap hook when your bag project works with 30 mm webbing: rucksack, changing bag, weekender. The strap can be clipped on and off, and because the hook swivels, the webbing stays flat when you sling the bag over your shoulder.
The hook is made of metal, has a spring catch without a lever and is made for 30 mm webbing. It measures 50 mm in height and 38 mm in width. The iridescent surface changes shade depending on the light.
So that the hook has something to clip onto, you need a counterpart on the bag, usually a D-ring or a rectangular ring in the same width. Sew the webbing loop snugly around the bar and secure it with a bar tack, because this is the point that later carries the whole weight.
