Description
Stretch lining in black is the stretchy lining fabric for jackets, dresses and skirts. Unlike a rigid lining it moves with you, so this is what you reach for when your outer fabric has some give of its own.
The fabric consists of 96% acetate and 4% elastane, weighs 73 g/m2 and is 140 cm wide. Coats can be lined with it too.
Because it is stretchy, sew it with a stretch stitch, otherwise the seam will tear when the garment is put on. When cutting, do not pull the fabric lengthways but let it lie relaxed, otherwise the lining will turn out too short. Black on black is hard to keep track of while you sew it in, so a tacking thread in a contrasting colour helps.
