Description
You reach for this lining fabric in dark brown when you want to line a jacket, a skirt or a dress. It is plain, so without a pattern, and light enough not to add bulk under the outer fabric.
The fabric is made of 50% viscose and 50% acetate, weighs 64 g/m2 and is 140 cm wide. It lines coats just as well.
Lining fabric is smooth and likes to slip away while you cut. So lay it out in a single layer and work with the rotary cutter, or pin it closely within the seam allowance. When you sew, a fine needle and slightly reduced thread tension help to keep the seam from puckering. Remember to allow enough ease across the back, so the lining does not restrict the finished piece.
