Lightweight calico is the finest of the calicoes: thin, soft in the hand and straightforward to work with. Exactly right when you want to check how a blouse or a flowing skirt sits before you cut into your good main fabric. Do not forget to pre-wash it, otherwise the measurements on the finished garment will no longer be right.
Lightweight calico for making test pieces / toiles where the actual main fabric will be light. Particularly suitable for blouses, light skirts, light trousers and so on.
