Sewing application: lockstitch. Standard round point with a small ball (RG), slightly rounded point shape. Suitable for knits and wovens and for microfibre. Standard point for chain stitch as well as for single-head and multi-head embroidery. Especially suitable for sewing on buttons.
Example applications: jeans, workwear, upholstery, airbags, tents, safety belts, nets.
SAN™ 6 for working with medium-weight and heavy woven fabrics: thanks to its greater stability and the higher resistance to deflection that comes with it, the SAN™ 6 special application needle is suited to working with medium-weight and heavy woven fabrics, the kind that jeans or workwear are made from. Its particular geometry also ensures reliable loop pick-up, and its larger eye lets the sewing thread glide through unhindered, even when you use thicker threads. The GEBEDUR™ coating improves the wear protection of the needle, above all in the point and eye area.
Finish: needle with a titanium nitride coating for improved wear protection. The surface of the needle has a higher degree of hardness than that of standard needles. This gives the needle better protection against wear and abrasion, especially in the point and eye area.
