Burnished here means: dark, matt metal instead of shine. These eyelets almost disappear into the fabric, which makes them the right choice when your sewing project is made of black canvas or dark boiled wool. Set one eyelet on a scrap of fabric first, so you know how much pressure is needed before it counts.
Decorate without sewing? Easy! The classic eyelets with washers by Prym are versatile and are a real asset for lace-up closures, craft projects, as a fashionable decorative element or for home decoration. The rust-free eyelets are made of brass and are available in various colours and with different inner diameters. While the 4,5 and 8 mm sizes can be attached with a hammer, the Vario pliers or the three-legged tool as you prefer, the eyelets with 11 mm and 14 mm inner diameter can only be worked with the enclosed tool and a hammer. The eyelets should be fixed so firmly that they no longer turn – this prevents the eyelet from coming loose when the fabric is pulled taut.
