Description
The silver D-ring in the large version is intended for rucksacks and bags that have to carry some weight. You hook wide webbing into it, attach a snap hook or make the strap detachable.
Inside it measures 32mm, outside 40mm. That means a wider webbing or a double-folded tab of firm bag fabric will also fit through.
At points under strain, topstitch the tab in a rectangle with a cross inside it, so the pull is spread over several seams. If your outer fabric is thin, reinforce the spot with a piece of Vlieseline as well. Together with a slide buckle in silver this becomes an adjustable rucksack strap.
