Description
The D-ring in gold is the half-round ring you use to attach a shoulder strap to bags and rucksacks. The straight side takes the webbing or a fabric tab, and you hook the snap hook onto the curved side.
The inside diameter is 32mm, on the outside the ring measures 40mm. That gives you enough room on the straight side for a tab made from bag fabric, even if you fold it double.
To sew it on, fold the tab around the ring, slide it between the outer and the inner fabric and topstitch across it two or three times. Place the stitching close to the ring, then it will not tip over later. Gold comes into its own with warm fabrics such as corduroy, linen or dark canvas.
