Cretonne is a densely woven, hard-wearing cotton fabric with a plain-weave structure. It stands out for its even, matt surface and is often a little firmer than ordinary cotton fabrics.

It is therefore suited to many sewing projects. For example a shirt blouse, a shirt, light trousers or a dress that calls for a bit of body.
