Description
Herringbone stripes in navy and anthracite, printed on Romanit Jersey: a fabric for waistcoats, jersey jackets and trousers that should be patterned without being loud. From a distance the pattern reads as a fine mélange; up close you can make out the herringbone.
The fabric by the metre is 150 to 152 cm wide, weighs 320 g/m2 and consists of 55% polyester, 40% viscose and 5% elastane.
Allow a little more fabric than for a plain colour, because you will want to line up the stripes at the side seams and sleeves. At this weight the overlocker works more cleanly than a simple zigzag; where you sew without an overlocker, use a narrow stretch stitch and a fresh jersey needle.
