Description
Strap adjuster with an iridescent surface, double with centre bar, for adjusting webbing on bags and rucksacks. It shimmers differently depending on the light and so becomes an eye-catcher in its own right, which is worth having if you are sewing a plain rucksack or a simple bag and do not want to add large appliques.
Inner width 25mm, outer 30mm, inner height 2x 8mm, outer 25mm, to suit webbing 25mm wide.
Place the buckle where it shows rather than under the flap: a hand’s width below the shoulder you can see it as you wear the bag and reach it easily to adjust. Thread it right through once before sewing it down and check that the buckle sits the right way round, because twisted it grips less well.
