Description
Strap adjuster in antique brass, double with centre bar, for adjusting webbing on bags and rucksacks. The muted gold tone looks aged rather than polished, which is why many sewists reach for it when a shoulder bag in cork, oilcloth or sturdy canvas is meant to keep an old-fashioned character.
Inner width 25mm, outer 30mm, inner height 2x 8mm, outer 25mm. Together with the D-rings in the same colour you can build a complete, length-adjustable strap from it.
When cutting, allow a little extra at both ends of the webbing for folding over. One end through the bar, fold over, topstitch, and only sew the second side down once you have checked the length against your body.
