Black organic Selanik knit is the calm basic shade that you reach for again and again in the sewing room. Black visually swallows seam lines, so small imperfections hardly show. My tip: a slim-cut roll-neck jumper that you can wear with every pair of trousers in your wardrobe.
Organic Selanik by Stoffonkel
Selanik: a wonderful knit fabric with a silky sheen. The knitted pattern is an elegant rib. The reverse is smooth, so the fabric feels absolutely lovely against the skin. The light nylon content gives the fabric a wonderful shimmer. The rib structure together with the small amount of elastane provides the stretch that comfortable garments need. At 350 grams per square metre the fabric is a little heavier than our jacquard, for example, which tips the scales at around 290 grams. Our Selanik is nevertheless light enough to sew garments that are pleasant to wear and do not become too heavy. The reverse stabilises the fabric so that it cannot lose its shape.

We recommend washing the garments inside out.
The organic fabric can be washed at up to 40°. Optical brighteners and high spin speeds should be avoided. We have had good results with bleach-free organic detergents.
