Description
Fray Check by Prym belongs in every sewing basket as far as I am concerned: when you shorten a woven ribbon, a webbing strap or a cord, you seal the cut edge straight away and do not have to hem it separately. Bag straps and loops keep their shape this way too. Try it out on a scrap of fabric first.
Fray Check is a colourless liquid that keeps hard-wearing places such as buttonholes, seams, shirt collars and cuffs from fraying by strengthening the fibres. When sewing curved edges you can apply Fray Check to the curves, which can then be clipped comfortably before turning without fraying. Rolled hems gain a stable finish with the sealing solution. The edges of fabric motifs you have cut out yourself can also be sealed fray-free with it. The dosing bottle with the pipette-shaped opening contains 22,5 ml of Fray Check. Only after repeated washing may the effect of the fibre-strengthening fluid ease off slightly. The treatment can be repeated as often as you like.
