Description
Ponte Roma, also known as Romanit Jersey, is the firm double knit among the jerseys: you use it to sew dresses, blazers and trousers that hold their shape and still stretch. Oxide red is a muted red with an earthy cast that combines well with black, denim blue and camel.
The fabric by the metre is 146 cm wide, weighs 300 g/m2 and consists of 70% viscose, 26% polyester and 4% elastane.
Thanks to the dense structure the cut edge barely curls, which makes cutting with the rotary cutter pleasant. Sew with a jersey needle and a stretch stitch, or on the overlocker. My tip: wash the fabric once before cutting, then your favourite piece will still fit after the first wash.
