Description
Knitted ribbing in dark blue as tubular fabric: the firm ribbing for sleeves, hem, waistband and neckline on jumpers, sweatshirt jackets and hoodies. The knit texture is clearly visible and gives the finish more body than a smooth fine rib.
The fibre composition is 95% cotton and 5% elastane, the weight 517 g/m2, the width 30 to 32 cm. After being stretched, the ribbing returns to shape.
At this weight the ribbing adds a fair amount of bulk. Allow for a little more volume at the seam and topstitch the seam allowance towards the main fabric once it is attached. Sew with a jersey needle and an elastic stitch and stretch evenly while attaching, so that the finish does not ripple.
