Description
Viscose Uragiri in navy, a dark blue by the metre. The woven fabric made of 100% viscose is 132 cm wide, weighs 137 g/m2 and has the soft drape that turns into a tunic, a shirt dress, a jumpsuit or a loosely cut summer shirt.
Navy is more forgiving to sew than black, because you can still make out seams and markings on it. Even so, take pale chalk or a tracing wheel with dressmaker’s carbon paper rather than a pencil.
The cut edges fray. Neaten them promptly with the overlocker or a zigzag stitch and use narrow turnings for hems — a thick fold adds bulk on a fabric this light.
