Description
Viscose Uragiri with multicoloured leaves by Milliblu’s: a woven fabric with the soft, flowing drape that people buy viscose for, plus a leaf pattern in several colours. This fabric by the metre is meant for blouses, wide summer dresses, pleated skirts and culottes — everywhere the fabric should fall rather than stand.
Viscose is a little slippery to cut. It is best laid out in a single layer on a smooth surface rather than doubled at the fold, worked with weights or plenty of pins and a sharp rotary cutter. Pre-washing is part of the job, otherwise your finished favourite will shrink afterwards.
Sew with a fine needle and a stitch that is not too short so the seam does not gather, and neaten the edges promptly with the overlocker.
