Description
Elastic piping in ecru, 8 mm wide. With nothing to compare it against directly you would take it for white – the slight natural tone only shows once a true white lies next to it. That is exactly why it fits into so many sewing projects: with natural fabrics, with pastels, with strong colours and with dark fabrics on which pure white would be too glaring.
The material is 92% polyamide and 8% elastane, so the piping stretches with the fabric and suits jersey and sweatshirt fabric just as well as woven fabric. Lay it between the two layers of fabric, cord facing inwards towards the future edge, and stitch just alongside it. With pale piping it is worth doing a test on a scrap first: that way you can see how much of the cord really shows in the end.
