Description
The elastic cord in ecru with a diameter of 3 mm is the standard cord for everything that has to stretch and pull back again: hoods, gym bags, bag closures or a drawstring casing at the sleeve. It is round and narrow rather than flat like elastic tape, and it is made of 75 % polyester and 25 % elastane.
Because it is soft, it is also popular as mask elastic. To thread it, take a safety pin or a bodkin and push the cord through the finished drawstring casing. My tip: cut generously and knot the ends only once you have tried the length on your sewing project – you cannot tighten it again once the knot is in place.
